Feasibility Study of Pharmacy Based Portable Health Clinic (PHC) Business Model at Ekhlaspur, Chandpur


On March 04, 2021 – GCC conducted a 3-days survey on assessing the sustainability of pharmacy based PHC business model in Ekhlaspur, Chandpur, from 22 to 25 February. 3 of the GCC members conducted the survey. The first day proceeds with a brief discussion about the criteria, protocol and procedure of the survey among the local volunteers.

Preselected 3 local markets; i.e Mohonpur Bazar, Notun Bazar and Ekhlaspur Bazar have been visited by the surveyors during this period. The team paid visits for the survey on randomly selected drug stores/pharmacies. The primary objective of this survey was to testify the pharmacy based PHC business model in rural areas. In addition to that, this survey also aimed to find out the present statua of local healthcare facilities, role of pharmacies in rural healthcare infrastructures, current socio-cultural practices and expectations of people.
